What happens to transparent backgrounds?
JPG does not support transparency, so transparent areas are filled with white. If you need to keep transparency, convert to WebP instead.
Will the file size decrease?
Typical photos shrink by 50–80%. PNGs with large solid-color areas (text, logos) may see less reduction or even a slight increase.
Can I convert multiple files at once?
Yes. Batch conversion of up to about 100 files works reliably.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. Everything is processed locally in your browser using the Canvas API.
What does the quality slider do?
You can adjust it in the options below. The default 92% is sufficient for most use cases.
