- Max width — reducing a 4K photo to 1920px dramatically shrinks the file size

❓ FAQ
How do I fit within a 5 MB limit?
Set the target size to 4.5 MB for reliable results. For 4K photos, also apply a max width of 2560px.
Will the quality drop significantly?
If the target is 30–50% of the original, the difference is barely visible. Below 10% it becomes noticeably blurry.
Does PNG transparency get removed?
No. PNG stays PNG, JPG stays JPG — the format is preserved.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. Everything is processed locally in your browser using the browser-image-compression library.
How many files at once?
Up to about 50 files work reliably.
