What is HEIC?
HEIC is the default photo format used by iPhones since iOS 11. It offers great compression but often fails to open on Windows, KakaoTalk, and some web services — which is why converting to JPG is useful.
Can I set my iPhone to shoot in JPG from the start?
Yes. Go to Settings → Camera → Formats → select "Most Compatible" to shoot in JPG.
Does conversion reduce quality?
HEIC is more efficient than JPG, but we save the output at 92% JPG quality so the difference is virtually invisible to the naked eye.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. All conversion happens inside your browser.
How many files can I convert at once?
Processing 50 or more files at once can strain browser memory. It is recommended to split large batches.
